How To Order Components From the Library
It's as simple as clicking on "Add to Order" for the components required. At any time you
can click on "View Order" to see the components you have selected and the total. When you
have completed your selection click on "Purchase Items in Order" to finish the order.
Currently you have to print the order and send it to us with a cheque or money order
via snail mail! We expect to be able to process secure credit card payments online soon!
Hint: If you use the Guides to create a solution, print them
out to make it easier to select the components.
Tricky Bits!
You will need a "Runtime" to actually run the downloaded system.
Suggest you start with the single user runtime.
You only need to order a runtime with your very first order!
The main areas of the system require you to purchase a base component before adding others,
eg to create a stock system you must start with the base item "Stock Details".
Base items are normally the first item for a group and are marked
(Base) in the library.
Checkout the Example and Guides for further information.
Hint: It never ceases to amaze us how people build solutions using combinations of components
we would never dream of!
System Requirements
IBM PC compatible, 386 or better, Dos or Windows.
Flowmaster is extremely efficient and the runtimes require less than 384k of memory to execute!
The objects selected from the library would require almost 6Mb of disk space in total.
However we have rarely seen a system exceed 4Mb and most would be considerably less!
Your data will grow as the applications build your trading history, if we take a complete
business system with say 7,500 stock items, 3,000 customers and 1,000 suppliers we're looking at approximately 8.5Mb.
You will need a proper business printer, one capable of printing a full 80 columns, (or 132 columns condensed), in the System Font!
Any laser that is compatible with the HP Series II or HP Laserjet 4,
or any printer compatible with the EpsonFX dot matrix standard!
Currently no support for "Photo Realism" printers that are not laser or dot matrix compatible.
Warning: Many of the smaller laser printers can only manage 75 columns or so across a page,
and they "loose" the remaining characters! This could be your Total Sales figure column!
Point of Sale (POS) system should be used with one of the specialised POS docket printers. Contact us for models supported.
